1. Balance College Lists and Demystify Acceptance Chances with Admission Intelligence

Learn more: For Counselors: Introducing Admission Intelligence (Scoir AI)

Who this is for: Counselors; students and parents/guardians if enabled by your school

Release date: September 2024

What’s in it for you: A series of tools to help you and your students balance college lists and demystify acceptance chances, saving time and taking guesswork out of acceptance chances

We just launched one of our most exciting high school releases yet: Admission Intelligence, or as we like to call it—Scoir AI!

Scoir AI is a series of tools that provides credible, predictive insights tailored to your school inside the platform you’re already using to support effective list-building and informed decision-making. We've also enhanced some existing features to support these new solutions.

Here’s what you can expect from Admission Intelligence.

Balanced List Scores

Streamline the creation and evaluation of college lists, quickly identify students in need of support, and effectively track their progress from early list building to application planning with Balanced List Scores.

List scores are calculated by evaluating the students’ college list and based on criteria set by the school.  Acceptance Likelihood must be set to see these scores.

By using Intelligent Match, you can save time and set personalized Acceptance Likelihood at scale for all students and colleges. Alternatively, counselors can manually assign match levels to account for unique aspects of a student's profile.

This flexibility ensures that students receive personalized guidance that reflects their achievements, ultimately increasing their chances of gaining admission to well-suited colleges.

Rounding it all out, with Smart Suggestions, you can search colleges based on Reach, Level, and Likely directly from the list-building experience, making it even easier to suggest schools.

Predictive Chances

Go beyond Scattergrams with Predictive Chances. Using outcomes from thousands of similar profiles, see round-level and individual predictions for each college and help students make informed decisions about where to apply and when.

While Scattergrams provide valuable insights, they're limited to your high school's data. And, not all schools have a large pool of information to pull from. Predictive Chances pull from tens of millions of de-identified outcome records so you have a larger sample size to see results from.

2. Help Students Prepare for Their Future (and Save Time on Admin and Planning) with Career Readiness Tools

Learn more: For Counselors: Career Readiness Early Access

Who this is for: Students, parents/guardians, and counselors

Release date: April - July 2024

What’s in it for you: Save time on admin and keep students on track towards their college and career readiness goals, right in Scoir

Over the summer, we expanded to include Career Readiness for grades 6-12, allowing us to serve both college and non-college-bound students on their journeys. We released new solutions like Assignments and more career discovery tools, including career assessment matches and a Career Readiness Curriculum.

More Career Readiness features are around the corner with our upcoming Advanced Plan which will include learning plans and additional support for advisors. Sign up for the waitlist to keep up with the latest updates!

Tasks

Learn more: For Counselors: Assigning & Managing Student Tasks, For Counselors: Assigning Tasks & Forms to Parents

Counselors can now assign student and parent/guardian individual tasks to keep everyone on the same page. Tasks are a great way to ensure students are completing key milestones throughout their career readiness journey, like taking the Career Assessment on Scoir, researching career clusters, and completing any other career readiness homework assignments.

At a glance, see who’s completed tasks, quickly send reminders for those who haven't, and mark tasks incomplete if a student needs to add more details. Students and parents/guardians are notified when they’ve been assigned a new task and can view and complete these right from their dashboard.

Plans

Learn more: For Counselors: Plans for Recurring Tasks

Counselors can go beyond creating individual tasks and create a plan of recurring tasks and forms for each grade level. These are automatically assigned and can be reused year after year to align with their college and/or career readiness curriculum.

Forms

Learn more: For Counselors: Assigning Tasks & Forms to Parents

Gather important information from students and parents/guardians and streamline communication using Forms.

Whether you're gathering reflections from students as they explore career clusters or asking them to complete an interest survey, you'll be able to better analyze the data and determine the impact of lessons and other initiatives using Forms.

Tech and Trade Discovery

We expanded our college catalog to include Trade & Technical Colleges for those interested in pursuing a path outside of a traditional 4-year college.

By including technical and trade schools in our college catalog, we're giving students even more personalized options in the pathways they choose to take after graduation.

Middle School Solution

We know that each student’s path is unique as you guide and support them through the different milestones of self-discovery—especially in their early years.

When we expanded to Career Readiness on top of our College solution, it was important to us that we included students in their early years. That’s why we now have a middle school solution that helps you support students beginning in the 6th grade.
